Holly Club Hosts Successful Pop Up Sale

The Holly Club of Sea Girt recently hosted an outdoor pop up sale at the Sea Girt Library Plaza. Club volunteers made a variety of delicious baked goods and homemade soups which sold out in the first hour of the sale. Ken Selody and Margaret Williams of Atlock Farm were the featured vendors of the sale, selling an array of beautiful topiaries from their renowned Somerset, NJ farm. Event organizers Eileen Konczyk, Janice Coffey, and Kerry Tarigo were delighted with the success of the outdoor sale.  "We've received such positive feedback from everyone attending the sale. Everyone was happy to have the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful fall day shopping in Sea Girt". With many local events being cancelled in light of COVID restrictions, the Holly Club members looked to find a creative substitute for their traditional fundraising events.  Several area businesses were eager to help contribute toward the event. Sperry Tents of NJ provided the elegant pop up tent, and The Spring Lake Manor donated tablecloths for use at the sale. The Holly Club members are extremely grateful for the continuous support of the Mayor and Sea Girt Borough Council, Sea Girt Borough Administrator Lorraine Carafa, Chief Davenport and the Sea Girt Police Department, and Lisa Luke and the Sea Girt Library.  Holly Club president Lynn Ward hopes this will be the first of many wonderful community events that the public can look forward to in the future.
